Across the River Rother lies the picturesque village of Easebourne and St Mary’s church dating back to the 13th century.

Easebourne boasts a pub, a general stores, a filling station with a M&S shop two schools and not much more besides Cowdray Park.

Where I found the King Edward VII Hospital Cookery Book. But no, it was not a compilation of recipes for the food served to patients at the hospital. The book is a collection of recipes submitted and sold to raise funds for the hospital.
The Cowdray Estate lies to the east of Easebourne with a golf course as well as being home to the Cowdray Polo club. Cowdray ruins is also in Easebourne parish and not, as many might be led to believe, in Midhurst.
